- Wind Street heaving with the Twenty somethings, all catching up on their snowed off Xmas functions. No shortage of money there, all too much for me, all those girls in skimpy outfits pissed by 9:am. In my day girls danced around their handbags and their Mams made them go out dressed sensibly, today they dance around jugs of Vodka dressed in very little, shocking stuff! As for the lads, what's up with them in my day we would have been down the pub played some darts or cards and by 9:am we would have got to the dance hall and had our first fight! Depending on the outcome, we would either remain for some dancing or be heading off back where we came from pretty fast with some small minded 'Tribal Taffs' on our tails. Such was this pre - Political youth in the Southern Valleys, Owen Money will know what I am talking about. Anyway, leaving Wind Street behind not quite the Weimar Republic yet, headed for the New York Pub for old time sake.

- In the 'Sixties' my Solicitor Geoff Thomas worked in an office close by and I am sure I had been in the New York drinking then with Geoff and fellow patriots. Whatever, the place was well away to some good D. J - ing and later some bad, good and great Karoke. The place was packed with 'Baby Boomers' Rocking but no Revolution here, everyone too busy behaving like teenagers, inc myself.

- Got out of there about 5:00pm none too worse for wear but spent the all of the next day on a couch, no hang over really just tired and aching from dancing the night away. So yes! there is life after the politics but I don't think I can handle it? Maybe stick to the politics, less painful!

youtube.comSad to say, since I was last in Swansea, a number of Pubs are closing down or not open all the time? Whilst the Adam & Eve, once a good heavy metal pub does not appear to be one anymore?
Swansea is pathetic Pub Wise, apart from Eli Jenkins Pub there are no Pubs in the Town Centre other than the Hanbury which is Heavy Metal on the Juke Box. Pubs around the Vetch former football ground are hanging on in there but sad to say not the Garibaldi. There is a small bar open four nights a week called Crowleys, with a name like that you would think it was going to be Gothic but no, more HM so I guess that's the music the Jacks like. Pwca too!
