SILURIAN SEPRATISM CAN IT SUCCEED?

This is a very serious subject, we Silurians must ask our selves the important question.....Would we be better off going it alone? Should there not be a Referendum Question that seeks to see if there is support for a Seperate Silurian State stretching from the Tawe to the Wye as our Western and Eastern Boundaries with Mor Hafren and Brecon Beacons as Southern and Northern Boundaries. Of course all this leads to further weighty questions to be asked and answered in due course, in the mean time my fellow Silurians, do not forget to KILL A ROMAN AT LEAST ONCE A DAY! May be two, if it's possible???

Work out on Mellons and Pumpkins, then up to Coconuts, crack a coconut and your well on your way to a Secret Silurian Seremoni of ancient mystical initiation rites & rituals. But that's all secret stuff ok!

How can you be a Pirate, if you don't know how to sail, better learn to swim too, or at least practise the art of floating? Whatever, back to the sailing, no doubt you can find plenty of places around our coast where you will learn how to sail. However, would it not just be great to have a Sail Training Tall Ship as many countries do, not least similar to Ireland's ASGARD II, this is something I am strongly in favour of and shall be promoting much more from time to time.

Christina Rossetti born 5 - 12 - 1830 of distinguised Republican Nationalist Italian parents 'Assylum Seekers' in exile, herself a ''rediscovered'' poet of Pre- Raphalite Movement connection through her artist Brothers Dante and William founders of the movement. Christina is particularly known for her poem Goblin Market (A Pwca favourite of course) which she wrote in 1859 but was not published until 1862 in Goblin Market and other poems. In Pwca Lore, it is told that down thru the centuries Pwca were driven into the undergrowth and dark corners by various invading oppressors as Beaker folk, Iberians, Celts and Cymru, Saxons, Normans and English. Pwca were ever pushed into the dark woods, and inhospitable places. To hide in trees and caves, ever competing with ''pesky fairies', ''Envious Elves'' and the terrorist 'Tyllwyth Teg'. Pwca had to compete for every little corner of our contracting and diminishing ''Pwca Patches'', little wonder we became irritible, grumpy and cantancorus. To make matters worse, the Invaders began chopping down our trees and enclosing our wastelands, then came roads and trains with bloody tourists crawling and climbing over our mountain retreats. Could it get worse, you bet it did, we had thought 'agricultralisation' was bad enough but we learnt how to take advantage of that but then came 'Industrialisation'. The end product of this, what they are calling an age of ''Post Industrialism'' which in reality means more on coming destruction of what's left of our Pwca Patches with open casts and bloody windmills. Our Pwca Peace of mind is being disturbed by the disapearence of our environment, not that it had been worth much, but we had made it our own homelands, now there is no escape? unless Pwca Protest! However, Pwca are small and centuries of invasion and oppression as made of us, well! Cowards? We had long ago learnt it best not to go about our life, work and trade by light of day, we even become afeared of the full moon. No! Werewolves and Vampires don't scare us, we had learnt to duck and dive them but poachers with weapons and traps they were another matter. This is why we learnt to creep around carefull by the half light of but a slither of moon light. It had least made it possible in time for us to see in the dark and be good at feeling away around, often very profitable for Pwca in more ways that one, if you get my drift? Whatever, the slither of moon has become very much a symbol of Pwca Survival down thrugh the ages, so it is fitting we make this the 'Iconic Symbol' of Pwca Power Protest Award. In this post given to those protestors mentioned in this Pwca Post, their protest and these awards, we hope will encourage more and more Pro - Pwca freindly humans to protest in this way and as often as possible.

Now For Something Completly Different, Bollywood Meets Belly Dance.

I did not really fancy the Notting Hill Carnival again, just too many people and so easy for Pwca to be trod on, even trampled to death. So after a few Pwca pints down in 'The Borough', I took a walk along the South Bank. Buetifull day and per chance I came across the last day of the National Theatres August Bank Holiday Dance Festival. The Monday was given over to Near Eastern Belly Dance and Indian 'Bollywood' Dancing, I got a seat up on an outside Balcony and had a really good afternoon and early evening. The music was great and the dancing fantastic with much audience partcipation, soon all my ''Pwca Problems'' were drifting far away, helped by a few ''Pwca Pints''. This Indian and Belly dancing plus the music is excellent, no doubt about it good exercise for both male and female Pwca, much entertaining than Cymry 'Dance y Werin' stuff, jumping over broomsticks and all that. So, I am advocating that Pwca adopt this form of Eastern dance, a mix of Bollywood and Belly Dance and we will arrive at our own ''Pwca Fusion'', possibly something similar to the Gothic Fusion Belly Dancing I mention over in my TAN y BONT Gothic Blog. http://cymrugothic.blospot.com/

London Pwca Patch 'Uno Numero'.

Pwca once had homelands all over the world, including Cymru but there our 'Pwca Peace' was disturbed by the coming of the Pobl Beaker, the Iberians, then the Celts and then the Brythons and Cymry, followed by the Normans and the English. The history of Pwca Persecution and ethnic cleansing is a world wide story, and slowly we were driven into our last remaining ''Pwca Patches", that's all we have left now, is ''Patches'' in which to hide along with Fairies and Elves plus bloody 'Tylwyth Teg' in Cymru competing with us for whats left for us to call home. A number of us are so fed up with the persecution we have fled to seek ''Pwca Asylum'' and settled in new ''Pwca Patches'', as in Southwark in London. If you look carefully you might see us enjoying 'Pwca Pints' at the George Tafan, The Globe Tafarn (in what film is this pub seen, clue it's a Michael Caine Film) and Market Porter Tafarn in ''The Borough'' around and about Southwark Market, great for good food plus wine bars and restaurants. Get there via London Bridge Rail/Tube is best OK! or walk along the South Bank passing the National Theatre and Tate Modern.

Pwca note, get down here at closing time and you will get cheap food and some time bags of bread for free. Borough Market is open early every day but closed on the weekend but is venue of a 'Farmers Market' on the Saturday. Southwark and Borough Market has got to be one of my favourite 'Pwca Patches' in London. I was originally drawn to it, to see berthed there the last of the Welsh Top Sail Schooners, The Kathleen & May'. She has now been sailed off to a new berthing in the West Country and now berthed in her place is a repica of the Golden Hinde, more appropriate really given that the area was once an huge Elizabethan ''Red Light'' district known as the ''Bishops Stews'', of which you will learn more by visting the original 'Clink' Prison, now a Museum close by, well worth a visit and not so expensive as The London Dungeon over by London Bridge Rail/Tube. Not least visit Southwark Cathedral and note that close by John Penri, the Welsh Puritan Martyr was executed, when I first arrived in London there used to be a plaque recoding this piece of Welsh History but it now seems to have disappeared? In this area is the rebuilt Globe Theatre and another good 'Pwca Pub' close by, with wonderful outside seating area over looking the Thames toward Saint Pauls. Across the Thames in this direction is another 'Pwca Patch' around Smithfields Market, where you will find the William Wallace memorial, here also a Welsh ''Wooden Image'' associated with Derfel Gadarn was burnt during the 16th Century Protestant Reformation. More on Smithfields at another time, suffice to say lots of great 'Pwca Pubs' and if you visit some on Xmas eve, you will get a free Xmas Dinner, As Smithfields Market closes early Xmas eve, lots of left over poultry is given to the pubs. As a thank you to their customers they provide these 'free' Xmas Dinners but the 'Pwca Pints' are not free, sad to say.

Walk along the Thames Embankment, and you will get a bridge, (Pwca cannot swim and actually hate water, which is why we avoid those 'Lake Fairies' and when ever we can throw iron at them to keep them well away from our Pwca Patches in Cymru) that will takes you accross the Thames toward Covent Garden and close by a most favourite Pwca Picnicing hunt in the following restaurants but be warned, the toilets in Papagenos has the most fantastic erotica paintings on the walls. So if your Pwca females note, if your Pwca Males takes a lot of time in the toilet, then you know why? so be ready to go and drag him out. Other than that these Restaurants are also really worth a visit as they are fabulously decorated as ''Opera Fantasy'', they have to be seen to be believed. It just drags Pwca back again and again and again. Foods good too!!!!!!

Introduction to the Crew of the Royal Fortune. .

Piratess: 'Lily 'Light Fingers' Evans, a Welsh Romany who at an early age found herself, even though still a child was involved with Smuggling in North Wales. In time she had to flee the North when the Smuggling gang were caught and imprisoned, Lily by then a young girl made her way around the fairs of Wales and became an expert 'Cut Purse'. Betime she reached Swansea her reputation had gone before her along with a nick name ''Lightfingered Lily" but 'Lily' was soon to be undone. Taking a purse from a gentleman in Wind Street 'Lily' was caught, tried and sentanced to a term of indenture on the Island of Barbados in the Carribean. Of course no way was 'Lily' going to become an enslaved apprentice, living under a workshop table and fed the masters crumbs. Lily soon ran off and fell in with a notorious Tafarn Keeper and 'Pirate Fence', one time smuggler and pirate her self also another ''Red Leg Taff'', none other than the legendary Moll 'Goch' Morgan. Unfortunatly falling in with 'Moll Goch' was not exactly going to lead 'Lily' into a rightouse life of being like many back home in Wales, respectable and decent living Chapel goers. Far from it, for 'Lily' and the older, should know better 'Moll Goch' were to soon embark on a most dangeroues venture, sailing with the notorious Welsh Pirate 'Barti Ddu'. In due course there will be more profile information and photos of our two ''Bucaneer Babes' and other crew members of the Royal Fortune. NB: If you intend to join this notorious crew of Carribean ''Welsh Red Leg Pirates'' and sail under the 'Jolly Roger'', please note you have to write up your own 'Pirate Crew Profile' plus think up your own costume, then apply to come aboard. To conclude one more picture of Lily 'Lightfingers' Evans, doing what she likes best, playing with pearls and dreaming of one day returning home as a lady of great wealth and good station. We shall see if it works out like that for Lily or will she join the crew of the Royal Fortune, at the bottem of the sea or hanging from the gallows.

HHHhhhmmm!!!! yes! I am getting bored with the ''Medievalism'' and if I do not cut down on all that Cilmeri and ''Cambrianism'' stuff, I will crack up, mind you a few former ship mates think I have aleady ''Cracked Up'', calling me the ''Pirate of Paranoia". HHHhhhmmm!!! some 'BLACK SPOTS' are on the way to they, and to be sure they will join a few others sooner or later....Walking the Plank and that will be that! no more Grog for them? I'me joking! after all my PWCA POWER blog, has been set up in the main as a bit of ''Escapism'' for Patriots who need to perhaps get away from the Vanity of a Country that immagines itself to be a nation when in reality it is no more than a Principality, and as much a part of England as the Duchy of Cornwall (ooops!!! more threats from the Children of ''Hells Hornets''). After all lets face facts, most of the Welsh People are happy with that, not least so called ''Welsh Nats'' who want to be English Lords. When captured these 'Bradwyr' will get the burying up to the neck in sand treatment, close to the Crab invested pools of Oxwich, if the Crabs do not finnish them off then the in coming tide will. This is another bonus of joining the crew of the Royal Fortune as an 'Adfywiad Pirate', you can fantasize as much as you want to, all good clean fun!!! I bet you thought that when you started reading this, you were not going to get more of by ''Diabetic Diatribes'', tough! you were wrong! But do take a break! before your brain busts with all the worries of Wales. (mad laughter follows at this concluding sentance).

We sail under two flags, the Jolly Roger and also the one below, yes! Red Skull & Cross Bones as we are pretty much ''left leaning pirates'', why else do you think they call us ''Red Legs''. Go on tell me otherwise and I will cut your throat!!!

As I said am getting bit bored with 40 years of ''Welsh Medievalism'', I am more of the mind in my ''Grey Wolf Years'' to wander off elsewhere. Time to go else where and look up other periods of our history and look up some interesting characters, not so much the 'good' but more the 'bad' and the 'ugly'. Yes! our most notable Outlaws and Highwaymen, Smugglers and Pirates also of course some ''Bad Babes'' as the Cut Purse Lilly 'Light Fingers' Evans and the Fiercesome Fence Moll 'Goch' Morgan.

Do remember try and have some fun, life is short and others are far worse off than us. In particular note, given the unfortunate truth that many Welsh Pirates were involved in the Slave Trade, we need some radical redemption. Thus, if and when our Royal Fortune begins to sail, much will be done for charity and in our case for Children in Africa and elsewhere in the world. Monies I hope being dedicated to education and health, not least towards children with HIV/AIDS in most areas of Africa and not least either as some priority to Children in Refugee camps as in Dafur.

I link to the Dafur Charity, as there a number of charities serving Children in Africa and elsewhere, so I will leave you to search out the one you would like to support. Dafur, is a most serious pressing matter and we are all guilty of not giving it the attention it truelly deserves. How many of us regret the way we ignored what was happening in Rwanda but since have wept over with what occured there, and which we have recently been remined of by Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman in their TV documentary 'Long Way Down'. However, despite the West having made a lot of noise, besides the U.N. passing a lot of resolutions; the persection, killings and rapes still go on in Darfur. IT MUST STOP! Apart from supporting charity work as I have suggested above, please as from the new year, start puting presure on you MEP. MP and AM to do something about Darfur. Is it too much to ask that some body in Wales organise a demostration at the Assembly to protest that they are doing so little, maybe the ''Pirates of Porthcawl'' should sail the Royal Fortune into Bae Caerdydd and disturb the peace of our ''Assembly Members'' in a good old PIRATE PROTEST!
