SUNDAY MORNING MUSING ON MUSIC OR WHAT PASSES FOR MUSIC - MUST BE FEELING MY AGE?

Went out last night as I usually do to an hard Rock Pub on a Saturday night, heavy metal this is a later in life thing. In the 'Sixties' I was more up for Soul Music and the Beach Boys, never went much on Beatles or Stones or anything English very much apart from some stuff as the Kinks and Dusty Springfield et al. But no not Hard Rock and not 'HM', so what am I doing going to Pubs banging out hard Rock? Really, I am into 'Acid House' music and I guess would like to go 'Clubbing' but ain't got the energy to keep going and I certainly do not want to start sniffing Coke to make it happen, Besides an old fella clubbing amongst load of young women, bit disgraceful that and what would by daughters think?

On other hand Hard Rock pubs are full of people 40/50 plus men with earrings and women with tattoos just loving the noise of the drums banging away whilst people instead of having conversations scream in each other faces, I guess not hearing a bloody thing and only knowing what's said if one can read lips. Up to last night I drifted into the usual scene bought my drink sat down but this time rather than get in an 'Head Banging' Mode, I seemed to be looking at a World around me in slow motion and silent with the occaisional disturbence of drums so loud breaking in and soon I was getting an headache. Could not understand a word the singer was screaming, I drank my drink and left with the thought in my head my short 'Head Banging' days are over. In Dublin my Saturday nights were at Irish Republican Ballad Clubs an Ranelagh or Folk Clubs in Baggot Street, to get to those in London I would have to go North of The River so it' come into my mind why not try the local Labour Club sometime?

In mean time will stick to my Texas CD, had a job once 'Deep Cleaning' a kitchen at a big Publishers place by the Thames, more than just an Office. I would be in an huge Kitchen by myself all night and able to put my Texas  CD on loud and work the night away like a demented Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerers Apprentice before walking back into South London with other 'Ghosts' of the night shift usually the black underclass of South London upon whose labour through the night offices in the City of London are kept clean, an 'Invisble Army' few see as the Sun goes down and hours later rises East of Tower Bridge, often a most beautiful sight. Once worked a Evening shift at a big legal firm up in Clerkenwell, used to go up on the roof for a fag and stretching out before me would be London  from St Pauls East to West the London lights would be as a carpet mirroring the stars. Just loved it, I would have course see history before me and there's plenty of that in London from Chartist Rallies in Clerkenwell to the East End being Blitzed. Of course London is loaded with Welsh History but you don't need me to tell you about that when there is a very good book on the subject:

Some Music for Sunday

Take your choice some skull numbing drum banging from Band Cambria, no wonder Adam BC's patriotic politics are 'Escapist' his head must have had thoughts of Freedom Fighting well banged out of it. He's gigging at the Eisteddfod next week would not suprise me if the lad chases up a RENEWABLEUK ROBBER BARON HAND OUT. After all despite Fflintshire Patriots worrying about 'Chesterfication' Band Cambria went and participated in Chesters Lord Mayor parade, nice one John?

Do Not Think Either of the above are really best for a Patriotic Struggle, nothing wrong with such bands in our Multi - Cultural Wales but really the Carnival Druming is more 'Welsh', that is 'Tiger Bay Welsh' than the British Army - Scots Regiments style druming of Band Cambria. Myself consider Celtic Drums more patriotic and suitable to our Patriotic Struggle. So take a look at below and the other YT Video Fantasy stuff therein the link, Fantastic!
