''No To The Right a bit! No to the left a bit!

Below Cathedral is  a much tame Tourist 'Red Light district', though lots of French from Country visit too mainly because of the Moulin Rouge, to have their photos taken. I was handed a Camera a few times and asked to take photos, interesting young couples who would as often as not kiss. This the thing at most tourist sites, spose it's Paris the 'Romantic City'.

Someone was kind enough to take our photos, but I was not going to kiss my brother, this photo was taken on our 2008 visit did take lots of photos of the Red Light district at night it's worth doing. Last visit we went in the day and photographed around Sacre Couer, a fella with a proffessional looking camera asked if he could take my photo. No I don't think he was a Cop, am not that paranoid, the interesting thing was a Japanese girl seen him take the Photo and she started to take my photo too? Maybe I could make a living out of this and taking photos ot tourists.

I can asure you, the only Red Light Shop I visited was the one that sold Books of Erotic History Interest, honest! Last visit to Paris we skipped the Montmarte 'Red Light' district and did Montmarte Cemetary instead and got stalked by it's cats. Loads there, like one below bit of a 'Creepy Cat' that one putting an 'evil eye' on me. Bit of a Stephen King style short story there, watch out for 'The Cats of Montmarte', may find time to write it up for my Tanybont blog of Welsh Gothic Horror.

Anyway back to the Table Mats or rather the girls, models. Of course many have heard of 'Dirty French Postcards', most of the models for the French Visual Erotic Industry inc artists models were actually dancers, waitressess, shop girls and even servant girls. In other words the poor or poorly paid, the history of French Visual Erotica is very interesting and much other history and famouse people so associated. In passing I will mention that in London of Victorian times Hat shop Girls would be 'On The Game' as these shops were ideal for the girls to hit on rich husbands buying their wives hats. During the middle Ages, not least on the Crusades Laundry Women also made up their wages in such way. Even during WWI Laundry Women were made to ply their work well away from Barracks, of course the fear then, was an establishment not wanting Soldiers going down with the Pox, not able to go get slaughtered. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR!

Very Interesting but earlier Victorian nudes, girls were fatter and plainer. By late Victorian Period the looks and girls figures are changing to look something more as girls to in our times. The reasons, go on you work it out!

There are loads of good books on the History of Sex, yes I have a few but I will ref up just one as it is very good and informs on a part of British History we would otherwise ignore nor not know of, it's:

There you are BBC Wales, a Welsh Author so go on make a documentary of his book would sell well World Wide. Could do with a book on the History of Sex in Wales, must be someone out there who could do it. See if I can do some thing sometime over on:
