Introduction to the Crew of the Royal Fortune. .

Piratess: 'Lily 'Light Fingers' Evans, a Welsh Romany who at an early age found herself, even though still a child was involved with Smuggling in North Wales. In time she had to flee the North when the Smuggling gang were caught and imprisoned, Lily by then a young girl made her way around the fairs of Wales and became an expert 'Cut Purse'. Betime she reached Swansea her reputation had gone before her along with a nick name ''Lightfingered Lily" but 'Lily' was soon to be undone. Taking a purse from a gentleman in Wind Street 'Lily' was caught, tried and sentanced to a term of indenture on the Island of Barbados in the Carribean. Of course no way was 'Lily' going to become an enslaved apprentice, living under a workshop table and fed the masters crumbs. Lily soon ran off and fell in with a notorious Tafarn Keeper and 'Pirate Fence', one time smuggler and pirate her self also another ''Red Leg Taff'', none other than the legendary Moll 'Goch' Morgan. Unfortunatly falling in with 'Moll Goch' was not exactly going to lead 'Lily' into a rightouse life of being like many back home in Wales, respectable and decent living Chapel goers. Far from it, for 'Lily' and the older, should know better 'Moll Goch' were to soon embark on a most dangeroues venture, sailing with the notorious Welsh Pirate 'Barti Ddu'. In due course there will be more profile information and photos of our two ''Bucaneer Babes' and other crew members of the Royal Fortune. NB: If you intend to join this notorious crew of Carribean ''Welsh Red Leg Pirates'' and sail under the 'Jolly Roger'', please note you have to write up your own 'Pirate Crew Profile' plus think up your own costume, then apply to come aboard. To conclude one more picture of Lily 'Lightfingers' Evans, doing what she likes best, playing with pearls and dreaming of one day returning home as a lady of great wealth and good station. We shall see if it works out like that for Lily or will she join the crew of the Royal Fortune, at the bottem of the sea or hanging from the gallows.

HHHhhhmmm!!!! yes! I am getting bored with the ''Medievalism'' and if I do not cut down on all that Cilmeri and ''Cambrianism'' stuff, I will crack up, mind you a few former ship mates think I have aleady ''Cracked Up'', calling me the ''Pirate of Paranoia". HHHhhhmmm!!! some 'BLACK SPOTS' are on the way to they, and to be sure they will join a few others sooner or later....Walking the Plank and that will be that! no more Grog for them? I'me joking! after all my PWCA POWER blog, has been set up in the main as a bit of ''Escapism'' for Patriots who need to perhaps get away from the Vanity of a Country that immagines itself to be a nation when in reality it is no more than a Principality, and as much a part of England as the Duchy of Cornwall (ooops!!! more threats from the Children of ''Hells Hornets''). After all lets face facts, most of the Welsh People are happy with that, not least so called ''Welsh Nats'' who want to be English Lords. When captured these 'Bradwyr' will get the burying up to the neck in sand treatment, close to the Crab invested pools of Oxwich, if the Crabs do not finnish them off then the in coming tide will. This is another bonus of joining the crew of the Royal Fortune as an 'Adfywiad Pirate', you can fantasize as much as you want to, all good clean fun!!! I bet you thought that when you started reading this, you were not going to get more of by ''Diabetic Diatribes'', tough! you were wrong! But do take a break! before your brain busts with all the worries of Wales. (mad laughter follows at this concluding sentance).

We sail under two flags, the Jolly Roger and also the one below, yes! Red Skull & Cross Bones as we are pretty much ''left leaning pirates'', why else do you think they call us ''Red Legs''. Go on tell me otherwise and I will cut your throat!!!

As I said am getting bit bored with 40 years of ''Welsh Medievalism'', I am more of the mind in my ''Grey Wolf Years'' to wander off elsewhere. Time to go else where and look up other periods of our history and look up some interesting characters, not so much the 'good' but more the 'bad' and the 'ugly'. Yes! our most notable Outlaws and Highwaymen, Smugglers and Pirates also of course some ''Bad Babes'' as the Cut Purse Lilly 'Light Fingers' Evans and the Fiercesome Fence Moll 'Goch' Morgan.

Do remember try and have some fun, life is short and others are far worse off than us. In particular note, given the unfortunate truth that many Welsh Pirates were involved in the Slave Trade, we need some radical redemption. Thus, if and when our Royal Fortune begins to sail, much will be done for charity and in our case for Children in Africa and elsewhere in the world. Monies I hope being dedicated to education and health, not least towards children with HIV/AIDS in most areas of Africa and not least either as some priority to Children in Refugee camps as in Dafur.

I link to the Dafur Charity, as there a number of charities serving Children in Africa and elsewhere, so I will leave you to search out the one you would like to support. Dafur, is a most serious pressing matter and we are all guilty of not giving it the attention it truelly deserves. How many of us regret the way we ignored what was happening in Rwanda but since have wept over with what occured there, and which we have recently been remined of by Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman in their TV documentary 'Long Way Down'. However, despite the West having made a lot of noise, besides the U.N. passing a lot of resolutions; the persection, killings and rapes still go on in Darfur. IT MUST STOP! Apart from supporting charity work as I have suggested above, please as from the new year, start puting presure on you MEP. MP and AM to do something about Darfur. Is it too much to ask that some body in Wales organise a demostration at the Assembly to protest that they are doing so little, maybe the ''Pirates of Porthcawl'' should sail the Royal Fortune into Bae Caerdydd and disturb the peace of our ''Assembly Members'' in a good old PIRATE PROTEST!
